# Ortoo at Dreamforce 2026: AIforce, customer conversations, and what's next

We spent Dreamforce 2026, 15 to 17 September, at Moscone, at customer offices and at community events across San Francisco. The keynote brought AIforce. In our conversations with customers, one question came up again and again: once agents take on more of the work, who owns the next step?

Between the keynote, workshops and a lot of walking, there was plenty to talk about. Here are a few highlights from our week.

## AIforce and what comes next for workflows

Salesforce introduces AIforce in the Dreamforce 2026 keynote.

Salesforce introduced AIforce, bringing Salesforce data, workflows and permissions into AI interfaces, starting with Claude, Slack and Lightning. The idea is to make Salesforce available wherever people already work. We explored the Claude side of the launch in Claudeforce: what's new, what isn't, and what it doesn't answer (https://ortooapps.com/resources/blog/claudeforce-what-shipped-and-what-was-already-running).

A thread through the keynote was pairing AI with the structured data and business processes enterprises already run on. That's the principle Ortoo Orchestrator (https://ortooapps.com/orchestrator) is built on: AI where interpretation helps, and rules where the steps can be written down. We covered where that line sits in when to use an AI agent in Salesforce, and when to use a rule (https://ortooapps.com/resources/blog/when-to-use-an-ai-agent-in-salesforce).

For us, one of the most interesting questions was what happens next. Once an agent identifies something that needs doing, how does that work reach the right person or process? How do teams keep track of ownership, deadlines and progress?

Those questions connect closely to what we're building with Ortoo Orchestrator. It coordinates the next steps inside Salesforce, with capacity, SLAs and an audit trail built into how the work is handled.

It was exciting to see the possibilities opening up, and to talk with customers about what they could mean for their own workflows.

## Getting closer to our customers' day-to-day work

Dreamforce brings many of our customers to the same city in the same week, and we made the most of it. Alongside meetings at Moscone and a customer breakfast, we visited customers on site, including a workshop with one customer's team.

There's something particularly valuable about sitting down with the people who run a process every day. You can follow how work is handled across the team, understand where it waits, and see what they've built around it. There's also room to explore what they'd like to change next and work through ideas together.

These conversations help us understand where we can make the biggest difference. They're also a chance to get to know the people behind the calls and emails a little better.

Thank you to every customer who made time for us during a very full week.

## Catching up with the community

Settling in for a session at Dreamforce 2026.

Some of the highlights happened outside the sessions.

We started the week at the GRAX Dreamforce Kickoff Happy Hour on Monday, joining our sister company GRAX, customers and partners from across the AscendX group. It was a welcome chance to catch up before everyone's conference schedules got into full swing.

We were also glad to connect with Salesforce community leaders from around the world. Our own Quratulain Tariq (https://www.linkedin.com/in/salesforcequrat/) and Sana Komal (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sana-komal/) both help lead the Salesforce community in Pakistan, so bringing that wider network together in person meant a lot to us.

That willingness to share ideas and experiences is something we value about the Salesforce community. Conversations about what's working in someone's org, how they've approached a tricky problem, or what they're trying next can be just as useful as a session on the main stage.

## What we brought home

We came home with fresh ideas and a clearer picture of what customers want to tackle next.

One theme kept coming up: how to keep oversight as agents take on more work. One agent handling one task is easy to follow. When thousands of work items are handed off between agents, systems and people, keeping track gets harder. Every handoff needs a clear owner.

The questions teams asked us were practical. Who owns the next step? When should a human step in? How can teams spot stalled work and show what an agent did?

Here's how Ortoo Orchestrator handles those handoffs. AI triages and enriches incoming work, and resolves what it can. When a person needs to step in, Q-assign (https://ortooapps.com/case-assignment) routes the work on skills, workload, availability and SLA state, and reassigns or escalates it if things change. Each step and its outcome are recorded, so teams keep an audit trail as volumes grow.

That structure keeps work predictable and accountable. Our conversations gave us plenty to build on as we continue developing Ortoo Orchestrator.

Just as valuable was the time together. Thank you to our customers, partners and everyone who made space for a conversation during a packed week. We're looking forward to continuing those conversations and putting what we learned to work.

## Didn't get a chance to meet at Dreamforce?

We'd still love to hear what you're working on. Book a demo and bring a workflow that takes too much manual oversight. We'll show you how Ortoo Orchestrator handles it in Salesforce, with a clear owner for every handoff.
